Today was a pretty good day. It was very pretty outside so I took the afternoon off. I did some shopping and had to return some things. Bought a couple of blouses that I can chose from to wear tomorrow to my luncheon then to my meeting. Then I stopped by Diary Queen and got a junior bacon cheese burger and a hazelnut Moolatte and went home. Although I was tired from shopping and not really in the mood afterall I did do a little scrapbooking and was able to finish my baby boy one all except the cover, started my cat one, cut paper for my kindergarten one and leaved through my 12×12 papers to see what all I had. As 4:00 pm rolled around I decided in an effort to get some exercise and enjoy this beautiful day I would take the stroller and walk up to daycare which is almost a mile away through the neighborhood. It seemed a lot further than I thought but I made it. Little boy enjoyed coming home in the stroller. I decided to stop by the park too since by that time I was not tired anymore or at least as much on the trip there. We stopped by the swings and I put him in the toddler swing and pushed him…..he laughed so hard and loved it! I wish I had thought to bring my camera! We then went to the area where the slides are and although he is not really old enough for slides..his 41 year old overweight momma thought she’d take him down the slide…..which would have been fine if my butt had not got stuck….I don’t mean stuck like wouldn’t fit through the slide…stuck like…just stopped going down! Luckily it was a short slide.
We made it home and waited for boy’s daddy to come home so we could brag about our exercise and what did he say? “That’s not exercise…that’s daily activity”….I’m like excuse me..if I walk almost two miles in one shot….darn it that’s exercise!
Boy must have been wired after his day at school and his stroller ride home because it was 8:00 before he’d even go to bed. So now I’m relaxing and waiting for “Lost” to come on. Then I think I’ll take a nice hot bath and relax some more. I have a busy day tomorrow.
