Little bits of paper

I was sitting there last night clipping corners off some pages I had planned to put in an album and looked down at the mess I had made on me and on the floor.  I end up tracking those little paper corners all over the house even after I’ve vacuumed.  I even saw several in the babies room.  I’m really going to have to be more careful about that now that the baby is mobile and at the age where things found on the floor end up in the mouth.  I know the little corners won’t hurt him but still!  I guess its time also (especially since I had been trying to reorganize my scrap area) to get some things off the floor.  I have boxes of ribbons and tags sitting in the floor under the table that it won’t be too much longer till he will get curious about that as well.

It’s funny that it was in a matter of days between the time he was dragging himself to a full on fast crawl.  He can be in the family room one second and in the kitchen examining the dog food bowl the next.

I did make some headway in my scrapbook plans last night.  I have four planned and have been cutting paper and grouping together papers and stickers etc.  It’s going to be a rainy weekend so maybe I can get a little time in to start on one.  It never fails my moods and time don’t always match up.  I hate it when I get excited about a scrapbook idea (even dream about it) and then I don’t get the time to dedicate to it or the creative mood fades away.  I have 2-3 hours every evening that I could be doing it but I don’t always have the energy either.

Scrappin Shopoholic

Today was a very slow day at work so I took the afternoon off to do some running around.  I guess I was just in a shopping mood.  Went to the mall and a couple of other stores and then to Target to pick up a few things.  I made the mistake afterwards of stopping by the scrapbook story that’s between my house and the daycare……I was just going to look.  Afterall with all this talking about scrapbooking I was again trying to get inspired.  Thankfully I only spent about $15 bucks but it was on things I didn’t truly need.  I found the cutest letters that are about 3 inches high.  I’d been thinking about doing another alphabet scrapbook but those are so expensive to make and more time consuming.  These letters were very pretty though with two of my favorite colors..pink and light green also lots of  flowers and paisley designs….I could not resist. Bought a couple of sheets of paper to match although I don’t like paying the price this store has for paper.  I would just soon wait till Hobby Lobby has their half price sale but every once in awhile I find a unique design that Hobby Lobby doesn’t carry.

I also bought some baby girl stickers.  A good friend of mine found out a few weeks ago she is having a girl and I’d really like to do a special scrapbook for her.

Well that’s enough for now.  We just got the baby down to sleep after wearing himself out crawling all over the house and I believe it’s TV watching time for me.  I don’t want to miss “The Office” and will want to find out if Meredith lives or dies on “Grey’s Anatomy”.  I’m sure she’ll live and they’ll kill off her mother but ya still gotta watch and see.
